 | Precision Matters: Seat Popper-Stopper
No one designs cars to perform perfectly for fifty years; some particular details last less time. Porsche designed a seat-back adjuster that has shown itself to be good for thirty years. The C (and early 900-series cars) had the latest iteration of the Porsche 356 design with the adjuster tab located by a thin plastic molding; very good for the time. By sometime in the 1990s, the time had passed; 30 years. Someone deserves a pat on the back. Then, the plastic broke, the tab came out of engagement with the adjuster and the seat back began to move at inappropriate times. Like, when it was not manually adjusted. The Popper Stopper is a fix, and a good one. It should take a novice longer to R&R the seat(s) than it does to install the part(s). The seat will then adjust as it should, and hold the adjustment chosen. Call for pricing and information: +44 (0) 1787 476338
